Defense contractor involved with product development and manufacturing of various systems for military aerospace and vehicles in the Los Angeles International Airport area is searching for an experienced Customer Support Specialist. With a 50+ year foundation, The Marvin Group supports all branches of the Department of Defense and allies around the globe on an array of programs and platforms. We support many military prime contractors including Lockheed Martin, Northrop Grumman and Raytheon.
Provide administrative support to the Business Development Department and the Business Organization. This includes but is not limited to managing customer service inquires and requests.
Process request for quotes, purchase orders, and export compliance questionnaires for the Business Development team on a daily basis.
Schedule and organize activities such as meetings, travel and conferences.
Maintain and update filing system for the VP and the Business Development Department.
Support Business Development Department in maintenance of the department finances A/P travel reimbursements and documenting corporate credit card expenses.
Act as a Project Manager for special projects at the request of the VP, which may include planning and coordinating multiple presentations, disseminating information, coordinating direct mailings and creating brochures.
Deal with a diverse group of important external callers and visitors as well as internal contracts at all levels of the organization.
Act as a liaison with other departments and outside agencies, including Sr. Level Management and staff.
Receive and distribute all customer inquiries to the proper internal functions.
Prepare pricing history and data package to facilitate response to request for pricing proposal.
Process orders from customers into internal order system.
Monitors and maintains external and customer proposal and order systems.
Provides other administrative and project specific support to the Manager and VP level.
SKILLS / REQUIREMENTS
BSBA/BBA in Business Administration or related field preferred.
2 - 3 years of business and/or office administration experience.
Full knowledge of office management systems and procedures (MS Office a plus).
SAP proficiency preferred.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced and high volume environment.
Detail oriented time management and organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize daily workload.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build/maintain relationships with internal and external customers.
Must be able to speak/read/write English.
Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs.
