Cloud Services Architect Are you passionate about public cloud and excited to help companies along in their public cloud journey? If so, then we want to talk to you! BlueChipTek is an AWS Advanced Consulting partner and AWS reseller. We enable companies, both large and small, to get the most out of cloud computing. We are looking for an experienced Cloud Architect with deep expertise in AWS to enable our existing customers and help us get new ones. We are a small growing company and we need someone willing to wear multiple hats and be involved in both pre-sales and post-sales. We need someone who wants to work with a customer to figure out the best solution for their needs and then has the technical chops to be able to implement that solution for them. While not working with customers you'll be working to improve our Cloud Practice. This includes working with marketing on blogs, white papers or case studies and developing our offerings ranging from investigating new technologies to working on our own internal tooling. At a minimum we need someone with these qualifications You are expert with the base AWS IaaS services (EC2, S3, VPC, IAM, etc.) and ideally have familiarity with most of the services that show up in the AWS console. You need to be very comfortable with CloudFormation. You can work with Linux systems especially in the context of AWS. At a minimum you know how to write a user-data script, install packages, and format and mount an EBS volume. You are comfortable writing scripts interacting with AWS utilizing either the AWS CLI or via some scripting language. We use Python 3 with boto3 for everything, so bonus points if you do too. If not, you'll need to be willing to use Python 3. You are able and willing to talk, and listen, to our customers about cloud. You're eager to start drawing on a whiteboard and hashing out solutions to business needs and goals. We engage our customers at their office, via online meetings or at company sponsored events (e.g. dinner, sports game, etc.). This means you are willing and able to travel to talk to them. A vast majority of our customers are in the SF Bay Area, so this means driving to their office for the occasional meeting. You'll sometimes need to get on a plane but staying somewhere for more than a night is rare. This may be your ideal role if you have AWS Certifications. As an AWS partner we need certified people, so the more you have the better. You'll need to be willing to get both the AWS Solutions Architect Pro and DevOps Engineer Pro certifications if you don't already have them. We will send you to train and give you study time to get these. Experience working in a DevOps model. This means both experience working closely with developers and utilizing tools that are considered \"DevOps Tools\" such as CICD systems (Jenkins, etc.) and Configuration Management tools (Puppet, Chef, Ansible). Understand and have some experience working with containers and Kubernetes. Understand and have some experience working with AWS Lambda and other serverless technologies.
